Pro surfer turned musician Donavon Frankenreiter sets the tone of his third studio effort with an uplifting pop anthem that celebrates the three most important aspects of the human experience, the triple Ls: "Life, Love & Laughter." Go ahead, just try and argue that statement, but first remove any one of those factors from the equation and see what you're left with. Life without love? Life without laughter? Is that really living at all? The sunny disposition of this tune and basically every other song on the aptly titled and newly released Pass It Around wreaks of surfer attitude, but perhaps we all have something to learn from this laid back take-it-as-it-comes perspective as it's often too easy to dwell on all that we don't have when the grind of every day living starts to weigh heavy. Frankenreiter points out that "everything you need can be right in front of you," which is usually true, but only when we take the time to stop, recognize and appreciate the simple things that make the world go round, "Life, Love & Laughter."
